Come on everyone, don’t act mean and don’t encourage meanness either. In my personal opinion,
@Feche is completely reasonable for setting that price, it’s not even high compared to the effort he put in. Let’s go through a few points:
- Would you be willing to spend years. I repeat, years, not months or days, to work on a project like this? Try counting how many people on this entire forum actually have the strength to pursue such a serious and long-term project.
- If you think the price of 20k USD is high, then try spending that amount and see how many people would accept to build it for you. And if they agree, how long would you have to wait? Six months? A year? And once they deliver it, how much longer would you spend fixing bugs? Another six months? Another year? So compared to the price
@Feche offered, is it really expensive or cheap?
- If you’re passionate and ambitious about making version 97d a big name, where else can you find a version of this quality? Are there many providers? I’d guess not, because if there were, you would’ve already brought it up here to mock
@Feche, right? And please, stop comparing it with 5.2, its structure and the 5.2 source code are different, I’m also a 5.2 source developer, and I know the problems it faces, it takes years of effort to optimize and fix all its bugs. Many people have contacted me, and my answer is simple: “If you can help me port it to multiple platforms, I’ll share it for free. If not, please pay 50k USDT.” So don’t belittle the price
@Feche set. If you can find a better version for cheaper, go ahead and try, I seriously doubt it!
Put yourself in someone else’s position to see, understand, and appreciate the value of the effort and intellect they invested. If you can’t do what they did, and you don’t have the capability, at the very least give them motivation by supporting them. And if you feel it’s not for you, just move along, don’t try to look wise by pointing out how their product falls short.
