Interesting enough, I tried to do something similar but with zen and with some set packages, but had problems with the database, but well done. 

The problem with this system is that if the jewel has a duplicate serial number, it does not check if it is duplicated and adds it anyway, and when returning it, it gives you another one with a different serial number. There is no serial check part of the system.
